The Tremor

An Homage to the Fender Harvard 2nd gen - The Vibrolux

The Tremor

Introducing the Tremor. In the evolution of Fender tweed amps, the Harvard started a lineage that ended with the Princeton Reverb, I guess the Ivy league has its moments.

The second iteration of the Harvard was the Vibrolux. It simply subbed in a 12AX7 dual triode for the 6AT6 of the Harvard and used that additional triode for the Tremolo (actually vibrato, but’s that’s an argument for another day.)

The Tremor pays homage to that amp, with a few tweaks. It is Adjustable fixed bias with the bias modulating tremolo of the original. It can be had with a 12-inch speaker, as well as with a 10 inch one

The Tremor is about 12 watts, but loud enough for small gigs and can be miked if necessary. The tone is sweet and breaks up nicely as you increase the volume. The Tremolo goes from the slow “For What It’s Worth” tremolo to Dick Dale’s surf music.

It comes with a foot pedal to turn the tremolo on and off as desired, with a Weber 12A125 Alnico 12-inch speaker. One of my Surf playing friends loves his.

Policy Change effective 5/21/2018 - If you decide the amp is not for you after a seven day trial period, I will accept a return, but there will be a 20% restocking fee and you will be responsible for shipping both ways. Any damage will be deducted from the refund. Speaker cabinets are not subject to trial periods. They are considered a final sale.

Please note: If you touch the amp with a soldering iron or make any slight change to it without my okay, your warranty is voided.
